DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
1. Consultation: Upon arriving, there will be forms for you to fill out (if you haven't already). Photos will be taken. We will discuss your goals.
2. Shaping: The artist will shape your brows/lips and we will decide on a shape you're happy with. This is a collaborative process between the you and the artist, and can take up to 45 minutes. If a shape cannot be compromised, the appointment will end here.
3. Tattooing: No pre-numb for brows and lips. We will start tattooing the first layer and then use secondary numbing.
4. Aftercare: After about 1-2 hours, the tattoo is done! We will take after photos, discuss aftercare, apply ointment and then you will be good to go.

-
NO GUM/CANDY. Chewing causes your brows (the muscles in your temples) to move.
-
Please keep your eyes closed and avoid unnecessary conversation with the artist during the procedure. Your brow muscles may move if you talk or blink which makes it harder for your artist.
-
No phone checking allowed during the procedure. Please handle all phone activities before we start.
-
Tattooing will not be done over pimples, blemishes, sores and moles around the area.
At the end of the tattoo process, you will have the opportunity to let the artist know to make any adjustments, but ONLY for your alotted time.
AFTERCARE
(after your appointment)
All clients will receive an aftercare kit (cleanser, ointment, instructions) at the end of your appointment. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial care and longterm care of your tattoo.

BROW AFTERCARE
Day 1: Gently blot the area with a damp cotton pad or tissue (to prevent lymph fluid buildup, remove bacteria, dead skin and oils). Do this repeatedly until the oozing has stopped.
Days 2-10: (TWICE A DAY) Gently wash the area with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil cleanser will be provided). Please wash your brows over the sink and not in the shower. Use your fingertips to gently cleanse and rub the area in a smooth motion, then rinse with water ensuring all the cleanser is gone. Pat dry with a clean tissue then apply a tiny, rice grain amount of ointment (Aquaphor will be provided) with a cotton swab. If you have oily skin, do not apply any ointment unless the area feels extremely dry.

DO NOT:
-
NO over-applying ointment. Only a tiny amount is needed.
-
NO long, hot showers to avoid steam. Keep your face/tattoo area out of the water as best as you can.
-
NO skin care products, acids or makeup on the tattoo area until it heals.
-
NO scratching, rubbing, or picking tattoo. Let any scabs naturally fall off.
-
NO exercise (excessive sweating), or swimming face-down until tattoo heals.
-
NO UV exposure (sun/tanning beds) until tattoo heals.
-
NO facials, botox, chemical/laser treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
-
NO exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids, and alpha hydroxy acids directly on the area for a minimum of 30 days as it may cause premature fading.

BROW HEALING PROCESS
Day 1-2:
-
The tattoo area will appear to be more dark and bold.
-
Minor swelling, redness, or tenderness right after treatment

Day 3-7:
-
Itchiness
-
Tattoo will appear thicker in texture
-
Scabbing/flaking begins
-
Do not pick or pull off any scabs
-
As the scabs fall off, the color underneath will appear LIGHTER. It may even look like there's no color at all. The true color will reappear at 4-6 weeks. DO NOT PANIC. Your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.

DAY 7-10:
-
The color finishes flaking off and new skin underneath appears softer and less visible for a few weeks. The color will slowly reappear at 4-6 weeks of healing, or 6-8 weeks for lips.
-
Some unevenness of color is expected after scabbing has flaked off. The purpose of your touch-up visit is to allow us to fine tune your tattoo.
LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE
Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color. Your lips will fade up to 70%. The lip tattoo healing process is relatively short. Days 3-5 post procedure, you will experience dry, flakey lips. It feels as though you have been layering matte lipstick on. The color will oxidize and might appear darker (brown). Over the next 4-8 weeks the color will gradually “bloom” to a lovely soft shade. If you have hyperpigmentation, or dark lips, the color can appear DARKER before it gets lighter due to bruising. Do not panic if this happens.

Day 1: Gently dab lips with a damp cotton pad or tissue (to prevent lymph fluid buildup, remove bacteria, dead skin and oils). Do this repeatedly until the oozing has stopped. Start applying a thin layer of Aquaphor with a cotton swab as needed to keep lips constantly moist.

Days 2-10: Clean your lips by dabbing with a damp cotton pad or tissue twice a day. Apply a thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor) as needed with a cotton swab. Keep lips moist at all times, do not let the lips dry out. Eat carefully by limiting the size of your meals and drink liquids through a straw. After every meal, gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

COLD SORES: If you are experiencing cold sores after getting your lip blush, please continue to clean/wash the lips everyday. The cold sores should eventually go away. You can put Aquaphor on the sores and also make sure to drink lots of water.

You must wait a minimum of 6 weeks before a touchup can be made. (8 weeks for lips)

Unevenness and patchiness is expected after your first session. It is recommended to get ONE touchup. The touchup session allows us to refine your tattoo and make it last longer.
-
Individuals with oily skin or those who sweat a lot may experience more fading and may need MORE THAN ONE touchup.
-
If you feel like your tattoo has healed great, you do not need to schedule a touchup session.
-
You will go through the same healing process as your first session.
-
A touchup every 2-4 years is recommended to keep the color fresh (only if your tattoo has faded 50%).
-
Touchups should not be done more than once a year to preserve your skin's condition. Constant touchups will lead to scarring.
